The Malthouse Gallery is a beautiful and sought-after exhibition space hosting a varied Arts Programme throughout the year.

With over 55,000 visitors annually and a diverse artistic programme, the gallery attracts both established and emerging artists.

To keep the programme varied, The Malthouse Gallery invites both established and emerging artists and creatives to express their interest in using the space – contact us initially at info@townmill.org.uk and we can talk to you about our upcoming plans and gallery availability.

The gallery is open daily between the core hours of 1030 – 1600, but many artists do open extended times. Please check individual exhibition pages for full details.

Entry to the gallery is always FREE and we invite you to come along and enjoy the work on display.

“The Malthouse is an exceptional gallery with quality exhibitions throughout the year. The visitor will never be disappointed, and as a regular exhibitor it offers excellent facilities and expert support from the gallery team. Sales for me have always been beyond expectation with visitors coming from far and wide to buy paintings.”

“I'm fortunate to have been given the opportunity to hold solo photographic exhibitions at the Malthouse Gallery for the last three years. With its pure white surfaces, burnt oak vintage beams and beautiful lighting options it's an amazing space to present work, the pictures simply singing off the walls.

“It’s refreshing to be given complete curator freedom with the gallery team there to support if needed. With all these elements in place the footfall each year has been impressive with a huge variety of both residents and visitors from this country and overseas.”

“The Malthouse Gallery has to be one of the premier exhibition spaces in the West Country.”
